We’re seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Senior Production Manager to help drive the seamless execution of our collections and ensure we deliver beautiful, high-quality product to our customers around the world.
Position Overview:
The Seasonal Production Manager will be responsible for providing oversight to all aspects of jewelry production—from PO placement through delivery—ensuring products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and comply with regional regulations. This role acts as the primary link between internal teams and global suppliers, proactively managing timelines, resolving issues, and communicating updates. The position also supports quality assurance efforts, manages our third-party QC relationships, and ensures all vendors meet compliance and audit standards. Strong organization, attention to detail, and clear communication are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
PO & Production Management
- Oversee end-to-end production management across all jewelry categories, from PO placement through to final delivery.
- Issue purchase orders and manage daily follow-ups with international suppliers to ensure production is on schedule.
- Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate potential risks or delays.
- Maintain an Open Order Report to track and monitor the status of all incoming POs for internal visibility.
Cross-Functional Communication
- Provide weekly production status updates to internal stakeholders, flagging risks and offering solutions when needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact between suppliers and internal teams regarding production timelines, deliverables, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, Operations, and Planning teams to ensure alignment on delivery schedules and production priorities.
Quality Assurance
- Support QA processes, including managing the PP (Pre-Production) and TOP (Top of Production) sample review cycles.
- Create and maintain Production Detail Decks to be shared with both suppliers and 3rd party QC partners for inspection reference.
- Maintain daily contact with our third-party QC team to ensure all inspections are completed on time and that any issues are addressed promptly.
Compliance & Supplier Oversight
- Ensure all manufacturers adhere to compliance standards for the destination region, including but not limited to REACH and Prop 65.
- Coordinate annual audits for all suppliers and maintain a central record of updated compliance certifications.
- Monitor factory compliance in line with JENNY BIRD’s sustainability and ethical sourcing standards.
Team Collaboration & Process Optimization
- Work collaboratively and transparently across all departments, contributing to a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
- Help identify and implement process improvements across the production workflow to drive efficiency and clarity.
Qualifications:
- 7–10+ years of production management experience, ideally in the jewelry or accessories industry
- Deep understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes including casting, plating, polishing, stone setting, and finishing
- Proven track record in PO placement and management, vendor follow-up, and managing production timelines
- Experience working with overseas suppliers (especially in India, China, Thailand, Vietnam); and able to build strong supplier relationships
- Strong understanding of quality assurance protocols, including working with 3rd-party QC teams and interpreting inspection reports
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as REACH, Prop 65, and Responsible Jewelry Council guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with internal teams and suppliers
- Proficient in Excel and Google Suite; experience with Netsuite preferred
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a team-player mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy

We have flexible working arrangements for the team. This role will be in-office a minimum of 2-3 days per week.
