JENNY BIRD is Canada's leading fashion jewelry brand, known for its elevated design, quality craftsmanship, and forward-thinking approach. As we expand our offering to include fine jewelry alongside our mainline collections, we are looking for a talented and detail-driven Senior Product Development Manager to help bring our vision to life.

The Opportunity
JENNY BIRD is seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Associate Jewelry Designer or Jewelry Designer to join our Design Team. In this role, you’ll support the creation and development of our mainline jewelry collections, focused on seasonal and trend-forward pieces in brass and steel. This position blends creative vision and technical precision, helping bring to life designs that reflect the brand’s modern, timeless aesthetic.

About You

In this Role, you will:

  • Partner with the Senior Designer to develop new seasonal collections that embody the Jenny Bird aesthetic.
  • Design and model technical components (clasps, linkages, mechanisms) with precision and creativity.
  • Translate design direction into detailed sketches, CADs, and spec sheets.
  • Support sampling and prototyping, ensuring accuracy and quality through each development stage.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to communicate with overseas vendors, review CAD files, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Suggest design improvements and ensure seamless documentation of CAD files, revisions, and samples.
  • Contribute to concepting and trend research, bringing fresh ideas and insights into materials, finishes, and silhouettes.
  • Assist in preparing production specifications and design packages as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of jewelry design experience with advanced CAD skills (Rhino, Matrix, KeyShot, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Deep understanding of jewelry manufacturing, construction, and materials.
  • Strong balance of creativity and technical execution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Strong eye for contemporary, wearable design and awareness of global fashion trends.
  • Based in Toronto or New York, working closely with the in-house Design team.

Team Member Expectations:

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable individual who will lead with empathy, inspire their teammates with a strong work ethic, and support the growth of their peers through establishing relationships built on trust and respect.

As a brand, we have seen incredible growth and success through our team’s proactiveness, curiosity, and desire to learn while building. We look for team members who embody these traits and have the confidence and comfortability to collaborate laterally, communicate ideas effectively, and support the company’s goals.
